Wellbeing Lead

Hey, hello, hi! I am Stefan Livingston, am the Wellbeing Lead at Trybe House Theatre, specialist behavioural practitioner, medical student and PASSIONATE Arsenal fan.

My pathway into Trybe House Theatre is firmly rooted in my passion for positive psychological health. My first degree in Psychology led me to undertaking counselling training with a specific focus on behavioural interventions. I became particularly interested in using these skills to make a difference to underserved “hard to reach” young people in our communities. I spent time working in Camden and Islington Youth Offending Services working as a wellbeing specialist, delivering one to one and group interventions to this cohort of young people.

After working in the Youth Offending Service I moved to working with Catch-22 and Merton Children’s Services as a lead specialist practitioner delivering support across three strands of specialist services, namely, Missing Children, Child Exploitation and Drug and Alcohol Misuse. I became more determined and more committed to delivering meaningful psychosocial interventions to the children and young people under my care. In my time here I helped to reshape the Missing Children service and expand the package of support available to these children and young people.

My passion for positive mental health also took me to working at Surrey Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) within the Specialist Services. Here, I worked with caseloads of children and young people who have experienced sexual harm. Whilst highly sensitive, working here exposed the importance of diversifying psychological wellbeing interventions. For example, through the increased use of creative, often non-verbal, interventions with children and young people.

My work to date has been underpinned by a passion to make a difference for those who come from marginalised and underserved communities. Working hand in hand with both professionals and the community, I foster a collaborative environment to achieve change. At Trybe House Theatre, my focus is on using my previous experiences to promote the best possible psychosocial outcomes, through theatre, for the mandem that we serve.
