CPD Training for Teachers

CPD training for teachers. Sessions focus on building trust with students, supporting them to find their voice, and developing practical ways to engage young people from a range of backgrounds.

Trybe House Theatre offers CPD training for teachers interested in our approach to creative practice, engagement and facilitation. We have delivered workshops at teacher conferences and in school settings, both nationally and internationally, with our work reaching as far as Poland.

These sessions focus on building trust with students, supporting them to find their voice, and developing practical ways to engage young people from a range of backgrounds.

The training is rooted in our methodology and lived experience of working with young people, and has consistently been met with strong feedback from educators looking to bring more creative, inclusive approaches into their classrooms.

At a glance

Age range: 16–25
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 5:00pm across two consecutive weeks in August. Performance on the final Saturday evening.
Duration: 2 weeks (full-time)

Our intent

Aims

Provide an intensive creative experience that mirrors professional rehearsal processes
Open THT’s work to new participants who may not be able to commit to a 12-week cycle
Create a high-quality original performance for public audiences
Strengthen the Trybe ensemble and welcome new members into the community

The experience

What to expect

The first week focuses on ensemble building, skills workshops and devising. The second week is dedicated to rehearsal, technical production and performance preparation. Participants contribute ideas, writing, movement and design to the final piece.

Lunch is provided daily. We offer travel bursaries and a contribution towards lost earnings to ensure no-one is excluded on financial grounds.

Ready to take part?

Open to all young men aged 16–25. No prior experience required. Applications open in May each year. Self-referral and professional referral accepted.
